Rail freight restrictions affect the transport between Italy and Northern Europe

25. januaarip

As of 23 January, a total ban on the use of all types of pocket wagons (used to carry semi-trailers by rail) in Denmark has been introduced by the Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority. The ban will apply for the next 14 days at least, or until the authority decides to lift the ban. Therefore, it is not possible to move freight by rail through Denmark, and all goods need to be moved by road instead.

Unfortunately, this situation heavily affects the capacity between Italy and Northern Europe in general and you must expect considerable delays.

We are monitoring the situation and doing everything we can to handle all shipments between Northern and Southern Europe as quickly and seamlessly as possible and will do what we can to make sure that the situation will not affect your supply chain.
