Generating positive added value

We take responsibility for our surroundings

At LEMAN, we care about running our business in a proper and responsible way. We are aware that our industry has an impact on our surroundings. Therefore, we incorporate measures into our strategies that reduce our impact on the environment and our surroundings.

We care that our entire business is run with propriety and compliance with all laws and regulations.

We ensure this by committing employees and suppliers to comply with our Code of Conduct. Thus, we know that our high standards of business behavior and integrity are being met. Our CSR strategy is based on the UN's global goals. We are aware of our general behavior from a CSR perspective, but specifically we have prioritized:

  • Decent work and economic growth (UN Global Goal 8)
  • Climate action (UN Global Goal 13)

LEMAN charity program

  • Initiative launched in 2018
  • Our employees participate in the events
  • A local initiative in each country run by our local ambassadors
  • LEMAN Relay is events throughout the year around the world

Each LEMAN country oversees an amount of money which has to be spend on a charitable purpose that involves the employees.

In Denmark, we have previously chosen to spend the money on the race Stafet for Livet (Relay for Life), where money for charity is raised.

We would like to have a positive impact on our surroundings. Therefore we decided to launch this initiative where all our employees can play an active role.

At LEMAN, we want our company to generate positive added value.
We have therefore adopted CSR policies in the areas of: the environment, health and safety, working conditions and ethics.

These policies apply to all our business units throughout the world and must, to the greatest extent possible, be incorporated into the practices of our business partners.

It is our goal to help protect the environment through efficient utilisation of energy resources. We aim to take environmental considerations into account in all our decision-making processes.

Health and safety (working environment):

Through relevant procedures and processes, we must create the safest possible working environment for our employees and minimise work-related accidents and diseases.

Furthermore, we must protect our employees from chemical, biological and physical danger in their workplace.

Working conditions:

We must treat all employees with dignity and respect and shall comply with all national human rights legislation in force at any time.

All agreements on working hours, holidays and wages shall comply with applicable legislation in the country where the employee is employed. We also aim to minimise hazardous work and ensure that all employees are properly trained to perform their duties.

We do not tolerate child labour. Therefore, nobody at LEMAN or at our business partners may employ children under the age of 15.

None of our employees may discriminate on the basis of age, religion, nationality, race, gender, sexual orientation, handicap, pregnancy or political conviction.

We must comply with all international and national legislation and regulations, and we reject all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery.
